The ICC has confirmed a major multi-year global partnership with Hyundai Motor Company, naming the automotive giant as a Premier Partner for upcoming ICC events. The announcement was made at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, with ICC Chairman Jay Shah, CEO Sanjog Gupta, and Hyundai India Managing Director and CEO designate Tarun Garg in attendance.
Hyundai joins the ICC’s elite group of four Premier Partners, completing the category ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 7 February. As a Premier Partner, Hyundai will enjoy exclusive global rights across ICC events, including association with key matchday moments such as the coin toss.
The partnership underscores the ICC’s strategy of aligning with leading global brands to boost fan engagement and strengthen cricket’s global reach. Both parties plan to collaborate on innovative initiatives, including venue activations and fan-centric experiences designed to enhance interaction at ICC events.
This announcement follows the ICC’s recent global tier-two partnership with AB InBev, alongside the inclusion of Sobha Realty, Unilever, and Google in the 2025 commercial portfolio.
Commenting on the collaboration, ICC Chairman Jay Shah said, “We welcome Hyundai as a Premier Partner and look forward to delivering outstanding events together. Hyundai is a global brand that has long supported sports, and we look forward to maximising our combined strengths at these events.”
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta added, “We are proud to welcome Hyundai to the ICC’s global commercial program as a worldwide partner. The collaboration will strive to grow global cricketing culture with shared values of inclusivity, innovation, and progress at the heart of our ambition.”
José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, said, “Cricket and Hyundai share a relentless drive to improve and the resilience to rise to every challenge. We are honoured to partner with the ICC and connect with over two billion passionate fans worldwide.”
Hyundai India’s Tarun Garg emphasized the significance of the partnership for the Indian market, stating, “This partnership reflects Hyundai’s strong commitment to India and the growing importance of the India market in Hyundai’s global operations.”
