The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Trophy Tour, presented by DP World, was unveiled in spectacular fashion as the iconic trophy soared above Adam’s Bridge, also known as Ram Setu, along India’s southern coastline.
In a visually striking launch, a two-seater paramotor carried the coveted silverware into the sky, tracing the historic chain of limestone shoals that symbolically links the two tournament co-hosts, India and Sri Lanka. The flight reached the farthest authorised point over the bridge before circling back, delivering sweeping aerial views and marking an unforgettable beginning to the global tour.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah described the launch as a powerful statement ahead of the landmark event.
“Launching the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Trophy Tour with DP World above the Ram Setu, a place rich in history, symbolism and shared cultural identity, sets an inspiring tone as we build towards this special tournament,” Shah said.
“This tour goes far beyond moving a trophy from place to place. It is a unifying journey that connects continents, cultures and cricketing communities, igniting passion among fans worldwide and reinforcing the spirit that defines our game.”
The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will feature 20 teams competing over 29 days at eight venues across India and Sri Lanka, with the tournament set to begin on February 7.
As part of the build-up, the Trophy Tour will travel extensively across Asia, including stops in India, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Oman, Nepal, Bahrain and Mongolia. Fans will have the opportunity to see the trophy up close, take part in interactive experiences, and engage in activations designed to build excitement ahead of the global showpiece.
The tour will also feature campus visits, fan meets, public events and cricket carnivals celebrating the game’s inclusivity and energy. In a unique outreach initiative, the trophy will visit schools and colleges connected to players set to feature in the 2026 World Cup, giving young fans a rare and inspiring connection to cricket’s biggest stage.
Additionally, the iconic silverware will make appearances at major T20 leagues and selected bilateral series, ensuring momentum and anticipation continue to grow as the countdown to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 gathers pace.
